Bravo Pl 2 of CLM and service term(some ppl nt present for the farewell lunch for arti ppl)

To make things worst, pro term started off with XX and I in a new section getting to know newppl. Its like back to CLM from the start coz the ppl coming to my section were either new ppl from Serria Wing or other ppl from other sections that I wasnt close to. New ppl from Sierra Wing joining my section were Wei Ren, Xiang Ren( my new bed buddy), Brian Lee(who was my OG mate during my first 3 mths in PJC who I never talked to before! LOL) and Guo Hui. Those from the other sections were Shen Yeong, Daniel, Derrick and James. However, we managed to get along v well together and went through thick and thin together in Pro term. We as the new section 2 also survived the gruelling JCC course together as bravo 07 and passed it together despite the morale blow after hor lan-ing during Ex Explorer and getting inserted into the swampy delta site. We didn't give up even though we were totally shagged out and our feet were swollen. Thus, we passed the course but shortly after returning to camp 4 ended up in sickbay and 2 reported sick.

After Ex Lancer, we went to Thailand for Ex Cresendo. It was damn tiring coz we had 10 days outfield with 1 day of tactical break. However during these 9 working days, we were tasked to carry out 11 missions! The first 6 missions during the first phase of the training, Ex Homerun, was the most tiring of the whole Ex Cresendo as we hardly had time to sleep. Fortunately, after Ex Homerun came Ex Normalcy which was of a lower tempo and there was much time to rest. Unfortunately, I was Ex PS for Protection of Installation and everything had to be done to perfection as important personnels might be coming down to witness it (However, they didnt come). Thus, I stayed up the whole night doing the Ops order together with Amoz, who was the Ex PC. I then slept for a mere 40 mins before commencing with the mission however Amoz on the other hand did not catch any sleep at all. He really took his work very serious and does it to the best of his abilities. I was fortunate to be working with him coz with him around the exercise was a breeze. I am also v grateful to those who sacrificed their time to rest to helped out, they were the section commanders of the mission, Wei Jie, Guo Hui, Chen En and Somkid. After Ex Normalcy came Ex Finale, the last part of Ex Cresendo. That was the worst exercise so far as the terrain we fought on was damn dangerous. It was extremely steep, v thickly vegetated and full of thorny plants. It was impossible to carry out good fire and movement. However, it was nevertheless an experience. That roughly sums up the whole of Ex Cresendo. Unfortunately, one of our platoon mates, Eugene, fractured his leg during this trip becoz of training and eventually OOC-ed.

With our 2 overseas exercise over, there was not much training left for us. We went on to complete our CSB with ease and got 100% pass. Then came the platoon assault course between the platoons of bravo wing and echo wing to decide who was the best platoon of 72/08. Without a shadow of a doubt, my platoon bravo pl 2 clinched the overall champion of PAC by being the fastest platoon to complete the long dist fast march(10km? not too sure bout the distance, juz ran all the way coz I was front scout), clearing of SOC with FBO and the 50m range. It was indeed one of the proudest moment of my life as we fought on and persevered through as a team, motivating one another one, thus emerging as the champion!

Now everything is coming to an end, one more week before commissioning. We have all received our swords and gotten our postings. I am being posted to Sembawang airbase as an FDS PC(Slack but no pride leh) instead of the BMT PC that I wanted. All of us are posted to different places and I dun know when all of us would be able to meet up again due to the different working schedules. I treasure the times we had fun together, trained together, laughed together and also kana tekaned together. Not forgetting all the baskets we frequent my bunk and laid on my bed and messed up my bed every single day without fail. Thanks for being part of my life in Bravo Pl 2. Looking back now, I am glad I stayed on, otherwise how would I have made such good pals like all of u! I will definitely remember all of u and we will definitely meet up again! I am happy and proud to be a part of 72/08 Bravo Pl 2. Wa Sah! Wa Sah! Wa Sah Sah Sah!
